BWB Consulting is thrilled to announce that Leyton Norris, our talented Apprentice Structural Technician, has been recognised for his outstanding contributions at the prestigious GM Colleges Innovation Summit and Celebration. This event marked the culmination of the FE Innovation Project—a dynamic initiative dedicated to enhancing productivity and innovation within further education across Greater Manchester.
Leyton’s achievement signifies a personal milestone and exemplifies the transformative impact of the FE Innovation Project. His insightful presentation as a guest speaker slot and the engaging interview he gave overlooking iconic landmarks such as the BBC and ITV studios—a proud moment for all of us at BWB.
Reflecting on his experience, Leyton commented:
“The Innovation event provided me with invaluable insights into how I can actively contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within BWB Consulting,”
“A particular highlight was the inspiring ‘license to fail’ philosophy articulated by guest speaker Ben Edmonds, which has empowered me to embrace bold, creative thinking.”

Leyton’s achievement highlights the powerful collaboration between Greater Manchester Colleges, employers, industry leaders, and policymakers. It shows their commitment to shaping future skills, digital transformation, and employer engagement. The summit also showcased the crucial role of apprenticeships in developing the next generation of innovators.
We sincerely congratulate Leyton Norris for his well-deserved award, and express gratitude to Josh Simons MP, who presented the award. It was also a privilege to collaborate with Sarah Ball and the Salford City College Group, who continue to nurture the next generation of innovators and disruptors.
